If you are a student interested in human resources you can join CVSHRM as a Student Member and receive discounted annual dues. The student membership fee $20.00. CVSHRM student members can take advantage of monthly meetings, educational seminars and conferences, and networking events to enhance their professional development and human resources acumen. There is nothing more valuable than learning from other HR professionals and being able to share best practices, experiences, and lean on one another. All meetings are included in your $20.00 annual dues.

Shippensburg University Chapter Information: The Shippensburg University Human Resource Management Club offers leadership and professional development opportunities to students in the John L. Grove College of Business. Officers plan and facilitate monthly chapter meetings and work with local HR professionals to educate students about the Human Resource Management Profession. In addition, the Officers volunteer their time to support the Shippensburg community and the College of Business at numerous events during the academic year. The Shippensburg University Human Resource Management Club earned the 2018-2019 SHRM Student Chapter Merit Award for providing superior growth and development opportunities to its student chapter members.

Frostburg University Chapter Information: The Frostburg Student Chapter is very active. The chapter holds a "Big Event" every year each May where speakers are invited to campus to talk about relevant HR topics in the "real world." In addition, this year, students attended the HR Virginia Student Case Study Competition and the Frostburg Student Chapter won! The topic they presented was "Hidden Disabilities." This is quite an accomplishment – congratulations Frostburg!

Each year CVSHRM will be selecting one of our student members to be the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship to use towards the purchase of study materials for their SHRM-CP certification. An active student membership is required to apply.
